Salwa Kobeissi

Salwa Kobeissi is a compiler engineer at Quarkslab. She was an assistant professor (attachée temporaire d'enseignement et de recherche) at Robert Schuman University Institute of Technology, University of Strasbourg, from September 2020 to June 2022.

She obtained her PhD degree in computer science from the University of Strasbourg in June 2021. Her doctoral research work was concerned with compilation, parallelization and optimization of programs, and it was done under the supervision of Professor Philippe Clauss and funded by Inria. Accordingly, she was a member of Inria's project team CAMUS and ICube Laboratory's research team ICPS.
Also, during her studies, she had the chance to teach at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, at the University of Strasbourg.

Before she moved to France, she had been based in Beirut, Lebanon.
In Beirut, she earned a Master of Science degree in computer science from the American University of Beirut in 2016. During her graduate studies there, she was a full graduate assistant, so she completed her degree with teaching and research experience.
