Professor in Computer Science at University of Strasbourg, on the leave from ENSIIE Engineering School in Computer Science since sept. 2017.

Previously, i headed the Strasbourg ENSIIE's campus (2013-2017).

Habilitation à Diriger les Recherches (HDR) passed in 2009 from Univ. Nancy 1 University.

My current research affiliation is member of the Icube research laboratory (UMR 7357 CNRS-UdS), ICPS group, in the research axis focusing on cloud and grid computing.

I was previously (09/2007-08/2009) visiting researcher at the INRIA Nancy - Grand Est center, AlGorille team, and still an associate member of AlGorille.

Research interests

My interests are in parallel and distributed computing, applied to clusters, grids or clouds. Current topics of my research regard the resource management of IaaS clouds from the client-side (see the Schlouder] project) and the simulation of batches of jobs on clouds (see Schiaas as an extension to SimGrid for IaaS clouds )

An older project dealt with gathering individual computing resources in a P2P fashion to enable message-passing parallel programs (See P2P-MPI).
